Trash to Treasure

Envelope Book

Envelope Book

Unused envelopes left over from party invitations or announcements seem to pile up at my house.

Like everything I hoard collect, I figure there is a new use just waiting to be created.

An envelope book was the perfect project to make a dent in the stash. I used a variety of sizes and I wasn’t too concerned if they were different colors and shades. Heavy-duty fusible web and fabric bulked up the thickness along the envelope edges and made more durable edges for tying them together.

An old book had the perfect cover for holding the pages. Yep, I saved the old book pages for other projects. Hmm…maybe I’ll make envelopes with them. 😉

I had a little fun with my Xyron Sticker Machine and lots of flat goodies to embellish the pages.

The pages can hold lots of notes for ongoing projects, wishlists, family clothing measurements, coupons and ephemera.

  1. So darned handy and pretty on top of it. Love this You make the neatest things out of practically nothing.
I have a zyron that can make stickers, have never used it. Shame on me. I read how to’s and froze instead of just trying it. I get overwhelmed and am afraid to try, I bought the zyron in KY and we’ve lived in CO since 2004, shame shame on me. Wonder if all the adhesives have dried out but they’re still in plastic wrapping.
I’m pinning your envelope book, want to try it. Love all the cute things you put on your envelopes. Happy weekend

  2. This is so neat! I would Love to know how you made it~
