Fourth of July | Trash to Treasure

Fourth of July Recycled Jar Candle Holder

June 11, 2011

This spaghetti sauce jar was just inches from the trash when I decided it would make a great Fourth of July decoration.

I cut a rectangle of wallpaper for a sleeve. Wrapped it around the jar, gluing it with a few dabs of glue to secure.

I found some designs on a Cricut cartridge that would look great for the Independence Day theme.

Lastly, I dug through my button tin. A couple of buttons later and my design was complete.

Inserted a glass votive candle holder in the neck of the jar and added a tea light to finish.

Now I’m thinking a pair would be perfect. Do you think my family would go for Spaghetti two nights in a row?

Hmm…probably not.
